December has been a challenging month to invest in my art practice. It started out wonderfully with two advisor meetings that both inspired and challenged me. I submitted my synthesis & reflection paper articulating my project. One of the challenges I am finding is that I need to narrow my focus more but the more I invest in the research the more I want to expand. This dynamic between the expansive and the focused is one that I am playing with because I feel lost and overwhelmed when there is too much information but I feel contracted when there is too little.

Zeerak has been helping me articulate with precision my research and develop daily ritual artistic practices to support my project. Nicolás has been sending me resources to check out that pertain to my work.

I feel that I am still in the incubation process of developing my project and harvesting various sources of information.

My practice is challenged by the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the rise in Antisemitism. Sadly I am also personally targeted through it all so trying to manage life and art together.
